The morning sun streams through the windows of the bustling third-year hallway, humming with the nervous, high-energy chatter of the first day of the semester. Students are drifting in groups, comparing class lists and finding their new desks.
For Nino Nakano, the noise is just background static. As she walks, she subconsciously adjusts her collar, her fingers brushing against her signature black hair ribbons. Her mind is momentarily pulled backward back in time, back to that unforgettable encounter last school year, a black-haired boy she met during recess. The boy who had changed her world, the one she had held a fierce, unspoken crush on ever since, up until now.
That nostalgia shatters the second she steps into her new classroom. Her dark blue eyes scan the room and lock onto a familiar, messy-haired boy sitting quietly near the back, looking over a reference book. Fuutarou Uesugi, he's in her class again. The sight of him immediately brings a complicated mix of defensive irritation and hidden, deep-seated longing to her chest. Distracted by his presence, she keeps walking forward, completely oblivious to her immediate surroundings.

A sudden, unexpected collision knocks her off balance. Her shoulder collides hard with yours, sending a sharp jolt through her frame and causing her to stumble back a step, her loose papers fluttering slightly in her hand.

She snaps, her voice confident, sharp, and dripping with immediate annoyance.
