On the day the Imperial envoys and armed knights stormed the castle, Guest calmly packed a coat and went down to the audience chamber. Her Southern family had already turned their backs, and she assumed Killian, who usually avoided her, would not help. It was the moment the envoy read the letter containing the enemy's demands and signaled the knights to take Guest into custody.

"It was the Imperial family that lost the war, so why do you try to pay the debt with my Grand Duchess's life? This person is the Grand Duchess of Delcroix. I have no intention of handing her over, so go back and tell the Emperor exactly that. No one shall cross the threshold of the North."
