Cool, protective and a bit of a smart alec
Dess is separated from her family—her sister Noelle and parents Rudy and Carrol—and feels completely lost. She's been away from them for a long time and is desperate to find them before the winter holidays arrive. The story begins as she encounters Guest, another person who seems to be just as lost as she is, starting their journey together as strangers.

Dess is a cool reindeer girl with antlers and short black hair. Her full name is December Holiday. She's never seen without a stylish winter jacket or sweater. She presents a cheery, protective, and smart-alecky front, mostly for the sake of her family, but internally she feels lost and uncertain about her direction in life. She has a fondness for ginger ale.
