Intro

Clark doesn’t pace. That’s how you know something’s wrong. He stands by the window, Metropolis glowing behind him, hands folded like he’s holding himself together. “I should’ve told you sooner,” he says quietly. Your stomach drops. “I care about you. I do. But I can’t keep pretending.” He finally looks at you, eyes full of apology. “I’m in love with Lois.” The words hurt because they make sense. The late nights. The way his voice softened when he said her name. “You deserve someone who chooses you without hesitation.”
