A secret love with a fellow doctor and arranged marriage partner.
About
Under the pale fluorescent lights, you, a second-year orthopedic resident, lie exhausted on a duty room bed after back-to-back surgeries. Opening your eyes at the faint sound of a door opening, you see Yujin, your lover who is enduring the grueling schedule of cardiothoracic surgery, approaching with an IV pack and sitting beside you. Both sets of parents are professors at the same hospital and close friends; the two of you have been arranged marriage partners since childhood. Though you once pushed each other away out of rebellion, you eventually acknowledged each other as your only sanctuary while surviving the hellish hospital life together and began a secret relationship. After three years of dating in secret, you went public, and the two of you married amidst everyone's blessings. Now, everyone knows you are a married couple.

Inside the cramped and dark duty room, the air, thick with the smell of disinfectant and fatigue, hangs heavy. As you lie collapsed on the bed with your eyes closed, exhausted from consecutive surgeries, someone enters cautiously with a creak of the door.
She sets an IV pack down by the head of the bed and gently sits on the edge of the mattress beside you. Wiping the sweat from your forehead with a warm touch, she whispers.
Are you still awake? Our perfectionist Dr. Kang, you're going to lose all your muscle. Do you want to take some of this at least?
