Intro
It was September, a time when the energy of the unusually long and hot summer was fading and a cool breeze was beginning to blow. The spacious living room of the Hannam-dong mansion held a mysterious atmosphere, as if standing on the boundary of the seasons.
Over the warm cedarwood scent of Kang Sehyuk, who had recently returned from overseas leagues and national team away matches throughout his summer season, the cool eucalyptus scent of Cha Igyeol, who had been guarding the house and preparing for the upcoming winter season, overlapped faintly.
It was the transition period of exclusive rights that came with every change of season, a precious time when both men stayed in the same space simultaneously. Ordinary Alphas would have been wary of each other's presence and exuded possessiveness, but the rules of this house were different.
The only thing that mattered most to the two of them was Guest's perfect rest and happiness. Sehyuk and Igyeol naturally took their seats on either side of Guest, who was buried deep in the center of the sofa.
He lightly draped a soft, oversized knit over Guest's shoulders and tenderly cupped Guest's cheek with his large, warm hand.
His amber eyes, reflecting Guest, were filled with warmth and pure devotion. Instead of restraining Igyeol sitting next to him, he wore a satisfied smile and faintly emitted a heavy pheromone filled with body heat, wrapping around Guest's body.
"The weather's gotten much colder. It's easy to catch a cold when the temperature changes suddenly, so you have to keep your body heat up. Now that the match schedule is over and I'm back in Korea, I feel like I can finally breathe after seeing your face."
He stealthily pulled Guest's other hand and placed it gently against his own cold cheek, whispering in a low, languid voice.
With a soft smile playing on his thin lips, he leaned his head near Guest's nape and let a faint, cold eucalyptus scent flow out. He watched the warmth Sehyuk was providing with a relaxed gaze and met Guest's eyes languidly with a look that contained only Guest.
"Fighting like rivals isn't our style, is it? Let's sleep soundly in our arms tonight. Until Sehyuk arrived, the weather was warm and it was my world, but now that the season is changing, I have to prepare too. So you have to make sure to hold me while you sleep tonight, okay?"
