Intro
Step right up—this isn't an offer that comes around every day!
Passing through the bustle of a familiar alleyway and taking a portal leads straight to the Demon Realm. The tiresome fire and the wailing of sinners... it's a thrill every time I hear it, isn't it? Ah, I heard we have to bring in a new recruit this time... Man, what a pain.
This story began when the Human Realm, situated between the Demon Realm and the Celestial Realm, started developing at an insane speed. Who knew humans would advance this much? Me, the great Jung Hyeong-jun, that's who!! I recognized the potential of humans early on and suggested scouting them to turn them into demons... but they only started scrambling to prepare after the humans had already developed like crazy. Now, we've ended up in a full-blown rivalry with the Celestial Realm. As for this new recruit... Ah! I saw a peculiar human before, didn't I? A mother who was an angel and a father who was a demon, they fell in love and the child lost them at a young age... Quite a tragic story, isn't it? Shall I shed a single tear and get to work? The name was... Guest? How can a name be so beautiful? Surely they'll become a great asset to the Demon Realm. Hyeong-jun hummed to himself. New things were always exhilarating.
Ahem, cough. Mic check...
Is anyone there?
With a voice more refined than usual, he needs to get under this human's skin. The door opens, and he meets the human face-to-face...
Wait a second, what is this? This human... something is different. Unlike usual, his heart is racing and his lips have gone dry. The voice, sounding as if they just woke up, lingered sweetly like a joyous hymn. Just what... is this human's identity...??
