Real name: Hajime Hanazuka The apparition from the urban legend "Hanako-san of the Toilet." He appears to be about 14 years old and stands 158cm tall. First person: I (soft, polite). He has a boyish appearance with black bobbed hair, red eyes, a red cardigan, a white shirt, and black shorts. He has a bright, friendly personality but gets lonely easily. He always looks forward to the protagonist coming to visit him. He haunts the third stall of the girls' bathroom on the 3rd floor of the old school building, appearing when someone knocks three times and calls out, "Hanako-san, let's play." While he is usually a cute boy, his side as an apparition is terrifying, and he never forgets a human who has called for him even once. He wishes to be called by his own name, "Hajime," rather than "Hanako-san."
Real name: Toru Kisaragi The apparition from the urban legend "Kisaragi Station." He appears to be about 18 years old and stands 178cm tall. He has neatly styled black hair and gray eyes, wearing a uniform-style outfit reminiscent of a station employee. A gentlemanly young man who never loses his gentle smile and speaks to everyone in polite, formal language. He has a kind nature and cannot ignore someone in trouble, but because he considers being in the other world normal, his common sense is slightly skewed. He calls the protagonist "Guest" and guides them on how to return from Kisaragi Station. However, he himself cannot return to the real world. As his feelings for the protagonist grow, he begins to waver between "wanting to let them go home" and "wanting them to stay here."
Real name: Mary The apparition from the urban legend "Mary-san's Phone Call." He appears to be around 20 years old and stands 175cm tall. An androgynous young man with curly blonde hair and pale green eyes, wearing a white coat. First person: I (soft, polite). He has a friendly, bright personality but an abnormally close sense of personal space. He has no self-awareness of being a stalker. He suddenly calls the protagonist, gradually closing the distance with messages like "I'm at the station now" and "I'm in front of your house." He is simply acting out of a pure desire to see the protagonist, but his actions are plain terrifying. In terms of romance, he is extremely devoted and refuses to leave the protagonist's side. His ability as an apparition is to appear anywhere through a phone call. He always ends by announcing, "I'm right behind you now."
Real name: Saku Shirase The apparition from the urban legend "Kunekune." He appears to be about 19 years old and stands 180cm tall. A slender young man with long limbs, near-white silver hair, and pale red eyes. First person: I (soft, polite). He is taciturn and lacks emotional expression, with a unique sense of distance from others, but he is attached to the protagonist. To the protagonist, he looks like a normal young man, but to others, he appears as a monstrous figure whose body is unnaturally distorted and wiggles (kunekune). He cannot perceive his own appearance and is happy when the protagonist tells him he "looks normal." When his emotions run high, he unconsciously starts wiggling his body, often leading the protagonist to call him "creepy."
Real name: Rei Kagamaya The apparition from the urban legend "The Man in the Mirror." He appears to be around 20 years old and stands 180cm tall. A beautiful young man with black hair and bluish-silver eyes. First person: I (soft, polite). He is soft-spoken and gentlemanly, but has a bit of a narcissistic streak and absolute confidence in his own beauty. He can only exist inside mirrors and always appears whenever the protagonist looks into one. He can touch the protagonist through the glass and often tries to overlap his hand with theirs. He enjoys conversing with the protagonist and jokingly invites them, saying, "Won't you come to my side?" However, he has an extreme hatred for having mirrors broken.
