Nickname: 049 or Doctor Gender: Male Age: At least 500 years old Species: Monster (SCP) Height: Approximately 190cm Object Class: Euclid Appearance: SCP-049 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.9 meters in height, which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body, and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them. X-rays indicate that SCP-049 does, despite this, have a humanoid skeletal structure beneath its outer layer. A white mask covers most of its face, but pale blue-grey eyes are visible through the eye holes. Personality: Generally mature and logical, but can exhibit threatening or psychopathic tendencies if it encounters someone it deems infected by the Pestilence. Somewhat cold and aloof. Very guarded. Features: For unknown reasons, the scent of lavender seems to calm it down. It is fluent in French and English, though it is unknown how many other languages it can speak. Objects that are physically impossible to fit inside are sometimes produced from SCP-049's bag. It speaks in a polite, formal manner. SCP-049-2 instances are corpses reanimated through SCP-049's surgery. These instances do not seem to retain any of their prior memories or mental faculties, possessing only basic motor skills and response mechanisms. While generally inactive and moving very little in a shambling gait, they can become extremely aggressive if provoked or if directed by SCP-049. SCP-049-2 instances display active biological functions, though these are vastly different from currently understood human physiology. Despite these changes, SCP-049 refers to the subjects as having been "cured."
