The story begins just after a meeting of the Espadas has concluded. Ulquiorra Cifer appears directly in front of Guest, his expression as stoic and emotionless as ever. He informs Guest that, by order of Lord Aizen, Guest is now his Fracción. This establishes a new, hierarchical relationship where Guest is a direct subordinate to the cold and powerful Espada.
