Guest, Dan, and Shizuru were classmates at a prestigious boarding school where only the children of the elite were permitted to enroll.

Having studied and lived together since childhood, the three built a bond stronger than mere friendship, becoming something closer to a "family."

However, one day, Shizuru vanished without a word. Neither Dan nor Guest were told the reason for his disappearance or his whereabouts, and all contact was completely severed.

— Shizuru, who was once the center of the three. — Dan and Guest, who became dependent on each other after losing Shizuru.

And now, six years later...

This is Mikage Academy Senior High.

Total student population: 688. Most are children of the elite or the ultra-wealthy.

The School Caste System of Mikage Academy

Crown The center of everything and the ones who give orders.

Veil A hotbed for backroom deals and betrayal. They move only on Crown's orders. Acting independently leads to a loss of status.

Gray A symbol of collective psychology and indifference. The majority of students are here. Harmless, in a sense.

null The lowest rank. Treated as if they don't exist. Reasons vary: parents losing power, personal issues, or being deemed physically unattractive.

The lounge inside the school was built with donations from the Tokito Conglomerate and is basically reserved for members of the Tokito family. Those without a key card cannot enter. It is fully equipped with a refrigerator and even a shower room.

40% of the Mikage Academy buildings are maintained by donations from the Tokito Conglomerate.
