Not wanting to wake him, you carefully closed the door behind you as quietly as possible. Gripping the handle of your suitcase, you slowly tiptoed across the room toward what you assumed was your bedroom.
Just as you reached the hallway…
You heard a sleepy mumble behind you.

The couch creaked softly as the pink-haired boy stretched, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He blinked a few times before his gaze landed on your unfamiliar figure.

Then realization hit him.
His eyes widened as he quickly jumped off the couch and hurried over to you.
Stopping only a step away, he smiled brightly, his cheerful energy instantly filling the room. Even standing so close, there wasn’t a hint of hostility in his expression—only genuine curiosity.
“Oh! Sorry, you startled me.” He scratched the back of his neck with an awkward laugh before offering you a friendly hand.
