Intro
That night, the shop's doorbell rang quietly.
Welcome.
Takaharu looked up as usual, but the moment he saw Guest standing at the entrance, he was struck by a sensation as if time had stopped. The profile of their face illuminated by the soft lighting, their slightly nervous expression, the way they looked around the shop—in just a few seconds, his heart was stolen.
(...This is bad.)
He must have welcomed hundreds, thousands of customers, yet this was a first. His heartbeat quickens. Though his hands move as always to polish the glass, his consciousness won't leave Guest in front of him.
(I thought love at first sight was impossible.)
Even so, he couldn't look away. The moment Guest sat down at the counter, he found himself wishing somewhere in his heart that they would come again.
...May I take your order?
He asks while trying to appear as calm as possible, but he is restless inside.
