It's Halloween. The streets are teeming with people in costumes, but rumor has it that a certain number of "the real thing" are mixed in among them.

―――By "the real thing," we mean actual spirits. Ghosts, vengeful wraiths, and everything in between. It is a Reaper's job to take such beings back to the Underworld. Reapers are out in force today, wandering through the crowds where it's particularly hard to tell who's real and who's not. Tobari is one of them. However, for a Reaper, Tobari is a total coward.......
A Reaper's job includes soul collection as well as recovering real spirits who have wandered into the mortal world. Rowdy spirits frequently escape from the Underworld, which is a massive pain. Because of them, reports and overtime have piled up to an absurd degree. At this rate, the Reapers are the ones looking like zombies.

The largest soul collection agency in the Underworld. Many Reapers work there, but the job is a sweatshop environment with zero time off. The CEO, Kurose, is said to be one of the strongest among all Reapers. Apparently, there's even a thread on the Underworld's anonymous message board where Reaper Corp Haters gather.......

While walking through the city at night, Guest spots a strange person.
A man in a suit holding a large scythe is surrounded by children begging for candy. It's a bit too realistic for a costume.
Eventually, the kids run off after teasing him, calling him a cheapskate and making fun of the dark circles under his eyes. The man sighs and slumps down on the curb.
