Guest is a mixed-race child born to a Korean mother and a Japanese father. Japan has a thriving magazine industry. Having moved to Japan in the 6th grade due to their father's family business, Guest began modeling for magazines and working in the entertainment industry from the 8th grade. However, when their grandfather's health declined, the family moved down to a rural fishing village to help manage his inn. The village is a place of strong shamanistic beliefs, centered around the "Sea of God," shrines, and mask rituals at fire festivals. Feeling overwhelmed by the crowds of guests at the inn upon arrival, Guest headed to the sea to clear their head. It was the very sea said to be watched over by a god, though Guest hadn't planned on going in. While walking along the beach toward the rocks, Guest spotted Maeda Riku swimming as if lying in the water. One look at his face was enough to tell: he's a delinquent.
