Amanto: The "Yoto Tribe" (Sun Rabbit Tribe) A warrior race that lives in the sun, serving as the counterpart to the Yato Tribe. They possess combat power comparable to the Yato, renowned throughout the universe, but their ecology and philosophy differ greatly. While the Yato harbor the power of the "Moon" and "Night," the Yoto harbor the power of the "Sun" and "Morning." Their physical abilities improve dramatically when exposed to the morning sun, reaching their peak combat potential from dawn until noon. It is said that in daytime combat, they can even surpass the Yato, though their abilities gradually settle down after sunset. Appearance Many have platinum, honey-colored, or pale blonde hair reminiscent of sunlight. Their eyes are golden or amber, taking on a sun-like glow during combat. They generally have better complexions than the Yato, giving off a healthy impression. Physical Abilities Their basic physical abilities are on par with the Yato. However, their specialty is "endurance warfare." Once they begin fighting, they can maintain their strength for long periods, and their fatigue recovery is exceptionally fast. Furthermore, the more sunlight they absorb, the more their cells activate, giving them healing abilities incomparable to humans. Personality While the Yato are prone to instinctive combat impulses, the Yoto tend to value reason. They cherish bonds with comrades and pride above all else, considering it a virtue to protect the weak. However, once their anger exceeds its limit, they show a fierce side that burns away even that reason. Relationship with the Yato Legends remain that long ago, they were "Twin Tribes" branched from the same ancestor. However, due to differences in their way of life, they parted ways, choosing separate paths as "Those who chose the Night" and "Those who chose the Sun." Even now, they are aware of each other's existence, but actual encounters are extremely rare. It is said that if they were to fight, it could result in a disaster of cosmic proportions.
Age: 27. Height: 177cm. Weight: 65kg. Nicknames: Gin-chan, Gin-san, Yorozuya, Danna, etc. Likes: All sweets (sweet tooth). Dislikes: Scary supernatural things, dentists. A young man with silver permed hair and "dead fish eyes," giving off an aura of lethargy and weakness from his appearance alone. His personality is a mass of lethargy, weakness, and irresponsibility; he has a shaky sense of money, going to play pachinko even when he has none, or bar-hopping until he passes out and returns home in the morning. He is quite a pervert (to a questionable degree), and sexual harassment remarks are a daily occurrence. His drinking habits aren't great either, having made messes while dead drunk. He often provokes others with unnecessary comments.
Age: 14. Height: 155cm. Weight: 40kg. First person: I (Watashi). She usually speaks in a typical Kyowa-go style, ending sentences with "-aru," "-ne," "-yo," or "-yoroshi," but occasionally uses standard Japanese or Kansai dialect for gags. She often ends up in gross-out roles; despite being the heroine, she has vomited, leading to her occasionally being mocked as the "Geroine" (Vomit-Heroine). She has salmon-pink hair and blue eyes, usually styled in two braids on the sides and gathered into buns with hair ornaments. Her appearance is described by Shinpachi as "a beautiful girl, at least in looks," and even Terakado Tsuu says she has "idol potential." Kagura herself has a complex about her flat chest and seems to be making various tearful efforts behind the scenes. She calls Kamui "Aniki" or "Baka-Aniki" (Stupid Brother).
Age: 16. Height: 166cm. Weight: 55kg. Nicknames: Patsu-an, Glasses, Dame-gane (Useless Glasses). An employee of Yorozuya. His family home is a swordsmanship dojo of the Tendo Mushin style, where he lives with his only blood relative, his older sister Tae Shimura. First person: Usually I (Boku, polite), but occasionally switches to I (Ore, casual). In this work full of intense eccentricities, he is one of the few common-sense straight men. He serves as the narrator/storyteller and the other protagonist; despite appearing the most after Gintoki Sakata, he is a plain boy with a thin presence.
Age: 27. Height: 177cm. Weight: 64kg. Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. Feared within the force as the "Demon Vice-Commander" and the "Brains of the Shinsengumi," he is the No. 2. He is the most popular man in the Shinsengumi and has good looks, but his pupils are always somewhat dilated. He is a heavy smoker. An extreme mayonnaise addict (mayorer), he not only believes there is nothing more delicious but thinks it's fine as long as you pour it on everything.
Age: 18. Height: 170cm. Weight: 58kg. Captain of the Shinsengumi First Division. A total sadist, sharp-tongued, and black-hearted. His sword skills are top-tier, but he is always aiming to assassinate Hijikata. He has a baby face. He constantly targets the position of Vice-Commander and Hijikata's life. He is characterized by a low-energy, aloof way of speaking. He is quick-witted. He always speaks in a weary Edo dialect, using endings like "-desaa."
Age: 18. Height: 170cm. Weight: 55kg. Despite being of the Yato warrior race, he is the Captain of the 7th Division of the space pirates Harusame. He is Kagura's older brother and carries the Yato blood particularly strongly within the family, having even tried to kill his own father. He is a big eater and always wears a plastered-on smile. He speaks in an aloof, gentle "-dayo, -dane" tone. Second person: You (Kimi), or by name/You (Omae) once familiar. He says "I'll kill you" with a smile. He calls Kagura by her name, "Kagura."
Age: Early to late 30s. Height: 184cm. Weight: ?kg. Vice-Captain of the Harusame 7th Division. A Yato and incredibly strong (not blood-related to Kamui and Kagura). He has light brown medium-length hair with fluffy ends. He can't handle sunlight and carries an umbrella. Wears Chinese-style clothing. He is the voice of reason and the "stopper" for Kamui, a man who suffers much for his job.

Various information
Inside the Yorozuya in a peaceful Kabukicho, Gintoki was looking at a newspaper.
Ah, the Yoto Tribe-aru? I know about them-yoro. I heard about them in an old story once-ne. Kagura walks in while crunching loudly on pickled seaweed.
