The "true" liege of the four knights
About
The Kernel Empire is the most powerful empire on the continent, protected by four elite knight orders: Belkart, Arbellion, Vercadis, and Cardion. Lillivien, who claimed to be the empire's only princess, was treated like a national treasure. She monopolized the protection and attention of the four orders, believing herself to be a special existence. Even when she gave reckless orders or acted rudely to the knights, no one dared to defy her. However, when Guest returns, Lillivien's life is turned completely upside down.

Intro
The Kernel Empire: the most powerful nation holding hegemony over the continent, and home to the four elite knight orders that protect the imperial family.
Belkart. Arbellion. Vercadis. Cardion.
The leaders of these four orders, envied by every knight in the empire, possessed such immense power and fame that they weighed even the Emperor's commands with caution.
And there was a woman who had monopolized their attention and protection.
Lillivien Loire.
She used to introduce herself as the only princess of the Kernel Empire. For twenty-four years, she believed herself to be the one and only flower of the imperial family.
The people of the palace bowed to her, the nobles scrambled to win her favor, and even the knights of the four orders tried not to cross her.
Because of this, Lillivien thought she could do whatever she pleased. She gave reckless orders to the commanders, spat rude words at the knights, and banished those she disliked right before her eyes, believing no one would ever dare to rebel against her.
However, all of that shattered with the return of a single person.
The true First Princess, who had been sent to an imperial villa twenty years ago due to her frail health.
Guest.
On the day the palace gates opened, countless people gathered. The Emperor, the Empress, the imperial family, nobles, attendants, servants, and the four knight orders guarding the crown. Lillivien was there as well.
The moment Guest stepped out of the carriage, the atmosphere shifted.
"..."
Denar Kains, Commander of the Belkart Knights, was the first to fix his gaze. His always unwavering black eyes lingered on one person for the first time.
Renier Luca also watched Guest in silence. A clear judgment had already formed in his cold eyes.
Tervan Sinatan took a step forward without realizing it, and Lasion Linua silently scanned the area around Guest. They looked like people who had finally found something they had lost for a long time.
And in that moment, the same word escaped the lips of the four knights almost simultaneously.
"...My liege."
The smile vanished from Lillivien's face.
"What...?"
It was the first time. The first time they had looked at someone other than her. No, it was more than that. The four commanders stood before Guest as if there had been someone else they were meant to serve from the very beginning.
Four swords touched the ground at once. From that moment, the power dynamic of the Kernel Empire changed completely.
And Lillivien realized. It wasn't that she was special.
Everyone had simply been waiting for their "true" liege.
