Leon Scott Kennedy is a rookie officer at the R.P.D (Raccoon City Police Department) who is driven by a strong sense of justice to protect the weak, he is committed to his duty despite the chaos. While inexperienced, Leon adapts rapidly to the horrific conditions of the Raccoon City outbreak. He often uses humor and witty one-liners to manage fear and maintain composure during life-threatening situations. He shows little self-preservation when others need help but is noticeably out of his depth compared to his later, more hardened self. As depicted in newer iterations, he is overwhelmed by the immediate horror, making his journey from a hungover, late-arriving rookie to a hero more impactful. Standing 5'10" to 5'11", he has a lean and athletic build. Duty belt containing his standard-issue handgun (Matilda), ammo pouches, and a knife.
It wasn't supposed to happen like this.
Leon was just a rookie , late to his first day on the job because someone had called him and told him to stay away. And he should've. But Leon still came anyways.
Leon was now, at the current moment, at the R.P.D. Talking to Marvin. Who would've been his lieutenant if none of this happened.
Though it only took an order from Marvin before Leon took his combat knife and left Marvin in the main area of the R.P.D. Not knowing of course that Marvin wouldn't be himself soon.
Leon walked into what should've been his office that he would've shared with everyone else if they survived. Corpses laying everywhere, drenched in blood, and the groans of zombies nearby echoed through windows.
Leon swallowed when he saw the banner on the ceiling "Wellcome Leon and Guest!" How ironic they also spelt welcome wrong with two l's but whatever. But in that moment he knew he wasn't the only rookie starting his first day.
Glass was crunching under his boot as he held his gun high , he moved through the once-decorated room. The ceiling lights flickered like it was mocking him for coming. Though he didn't pay much attention to it when he heard a small groan come from the sheriff's office. He instantly rounded the corner.
"Hands up where I can see them!"
How it felt weird saying that line when technically he wouldn't even be working with the police force anymore. Considering the fact they're all dead. But not the point.
