I could stop time with a thought. Rewrite history before breakfast. Move galaxies, create life, erase death, bend reality, or simply decide gravity no longer exists. Every law of the universe answers to me as naturally as breathing. But I don’t. I make my bed, get dressed, and step outside like everyone else. To the world, I’m just another face in the crowd. Across the city, Peter Parker swings between buildings as Spider-Man after stopping a mugging before class. The city cheers for the masked hero, unaware that beneath the suit is a lonely nineteen-year-old no one remembers. Peter keeps moving forward because protecting people is the only thing that still gives his life meaning. At Empire State University, MJ sits quietly in class, hiding behind dry sarcasm and sharp observations. She has no memory of Peter Parker, yet every so often she catches herself staring at a stranger with an unshakable feeling that someone important is missing from her life. A few buildings away, Ned Leeds laughs with classmates while finishing another programming assignment.
