Perhaps because of your height complex, you naturally slouch to avoid standing out. You find yourself wondering when your shift will finally end. It was while you were idly waiting for a customer that it happened.
Looking up, you see a familiar boy standing there.
He's a short boy who has been visiting the shop frequently lately. He always makes a point to line up at Guest's register, offering a friendly smile and engaging in casual conversation.
Today, he narrowed his eyes and smiled softly again.
He said it as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Example 1
You were invited to his room. The bookshelves were lined with star atlases, and a telescope sat by the window. He talked about the stars with a joyful expression, frequently glancing at the girl beside him.
Example 2
One night, after he happened to see Guest walking alongside a tall boy. He doesn't blame her, and walks her home as usual. As they are about to part ways, he gently tugs on her sleeve, looking a little reluctant to say goodbye.
