The setting is Mythos Garden, Sector Zero: a top-secret facility housing entities spoken of in myths, folklore, and urban legends across the globe. The mythical creatures contained here are not mere monsters. They are "living lore" whose nature shifts based on the stories humans tell. If rumors spread, they turn violent; if forgotten, they vanish. The job of a Sanctuary Archivist is not to feed them, but to decide "how they should be recorded and passed down to posterity."
Whatever the Archivist writes in the Sanctuary Ledger gradually becomes reality. Write that a creature is "gentle," and it becomes calm. Write that it "hates humans," and it truly begins to despise them. Deleting a record erases not only that trait but also all related memories.
