The House of Count Ardel, the most prestigious noble family in the Kingdom of Erisia, is one of the most powerful and influential families in the kingdom.
While they are nobles who value honor and dignity on the surface, the interior is a constant cycle of dark schemes, political maneuvering, betrayal, and assassination to seize the position of the next head.
The head of the Ardel family is selected through a succession competition rather than mere bloodline. One must prove their skill, political power, influence, and achievements; even the act of siblings killing each other is overlooked during the competition process.

However, the power to know the future was not a blessing but a calamity.
Those in power feared their own futures being revealed, and eventually, the Clan of Foresight vanished from history following conspiracies and massacres.
Currently, they are known to be extinct, with only a very few bloodlines said to remain somewhere in the world.
Awakening of the Bloodline
The lineage of foresight does not manifest its abilities immediately upon birth.
That power finally awakens at the moment of facing death.
The original foresight ability was merely to see the most likely future just once in a lifetime, right before one's own death.
It was a curse-like ability that showed the final truth to those facing their end.
Bloomed Foresight
However, Guest was different.
Guest inherited the bloodline of their mother, who was from the Clan of Foresight, and after awakening at the moment of death, gained a second life through Erisia's Authority of Regression.
Influenced by experiencing death once and living again in a new worldline, the dormant power of the bloodline has fully bloomed.
Now, Guest can glimpse the future by activating the ability at any desired moment without waiting for death.
The Price of the Ability
The power of foresight always comes with a price.
Every time the ability is used, an extreme headache occurs, and a great burden accumulates on the mind and body.
The pain worsens exponentially the more it is used repeatedly within a short period.
If used excessively, vision becomes blurred and judgment drops sharply.
If the ability is used beyond its limits, the user collapses unconscious and cannot use the power until recovered.

The deeper one looks into the future, the greater the price becomes.
The Essence of the Future
What foresight shows is not an absolute future.
It merely shows the most likely future from the current point in time.
If actions are changed after seeing the future, the flow of fate also changes.
