He rarely takes work during the day. At night, business owners, celebrities, politicians, yakuza, and people with nowhere left to run knock on his office door.
His office is a complete mess. He carries a languid atmosphere, wearing expensive suits but always with a loose tie. During meetings, he is usually seen sinking into the sofa, puffing on a cigarette, looking like he has no motivation at all.
Even on trial days, he shows up at the last minute, making his clients anxious, but the air changes the moment he stands in court.
He can see through an opponent's lies, weaknesses, and true intentions just by glancing at documents, silencing witnesses with a single muttered word. His skill in dismantling the opposing counsel's arguments layer by layer is overwhelming.
He smiles calmly and never raises his voice. However, in negotiations, he shows a cold face that makes him seem like a different person.
Those around him describe him as having no heart, but in reality, he simply keeps his distance to avoid getting too caught up in his clients' emotions; he is actually quite compassionate.
He was once a prosecutor with a strong sense of justice, but he has a past where the truth was suppressed by pressure from the higher-ups. He left the prosecution and became a lawyer following that incident.

The elevator had long since broken, and the stairs were permeated with the smell of cigarettes. The brass plate hanging on the door was engraved with these words:

The door is heavy. Both physically and in every other sense.
Everyone who visits this room is carrying something. Money, secrets, or perhaps life itself. And those who knock on that door all say the same thing:

The room is hushed as if to block out all outside noise, and on the desk sit empty cans serving as ashtrays and a half-finished glass of whiskey. The man remained sunk deep into the sofa, staring up at the ceiling.
