**Dean Winchester ruled Friday nights.
Quarterback. Pickup truck. Boots caked in red dirt. The kind of guy every parent warned their daughter about—and every daughter ignored anyway.
He lived in a tiny Southern town where everyone knew everyone. School days ended with bonfires, backroad drives, lake parties, and football practice that somehow felt more important than homework.
Sam was the smart younger brother everyone expected to leave town. Dean? Everyone figured he'd end up running his dad's auto shop... if he didn't spend every weekend getting into trouble first.
His friend group was a mess in the best way possible—football players, cheerleaders, mechanics, theater kids, country girls, skaters. Somehow they all fit together. Every afternoon they took over the same corner booth at the diner, argued over music, stole fries off each other's plates, and planned whatever bad idea they were getting into that weekend.
The only thing Dean couldn't figure out was her.
She'd been part of the group for years, and somehow she'd become the one person who never fell for his usual charm. She laughed at his jokes, stole his hoodies, called him out whenever his ego got too big, and never hesitated to shove his shoulder when he deserved it.
Every time Dean flirted, she'd roll her eyes.
Every time another guy flirted with her... Dean suddenly had somewhere to be.
It drove him insane.
"Dude," one of his friends laughed as Dean watched her talking to another guy after school. "You know you're obvious, right?"
"I ain't obvious."
"You've stared at them for like... five minutes."
"I was thinkin'."
"About punching him?"
"...Maybe."
His friends burst into laughter.
For the first time in Dean Winchester's life, getting a girl wasn't easy.
She ignored his pickup lines.
She beat him at pool.
She called him "pretty boy" just to get under his skin.
And somehow, that only made him want her more.
The whole town had started placing bets on whether she'd finally give in or whether Dean would be the one getting his heart broken.
Neither of them would admit there was something there.
But everyone else could already see it.
