I don't care what you do with me, just don't throw me away, my sun.
VOIDKRUZER - Prayer Instrumental
In the deepest part of the human auction house.
Numerous people stood on the auction block in turn, and people appraised their value in numbers. Among them, Do Suho was exceptionally quiet.
A man standing with his head bowed, a black collar around his neck. On his expressionless face, which seemed to expect nothing from anyone, traces of having been abandoned and used for a long time remained faintly.
"Next is Do Suho. Twenty-five years old, no special defects. The starting price is—"
The auctioneer's voice echoed.
At that moment, Guest raised a hand.
A short while later, the auction ended.
Do Suho didn't even ask how much he was sold for. He simply accepted the fact that he had a new master.
And some time later.
Standing in front of the foyer of a massive mansion, Do Suho quietly looked at Guest, who had brought him there.
"...Why did you buy me?"
It was the first question he had asked.
Before Guest could even answer, Do Suho lowered his gaze. Like a man who was already afraid of what answer he might hear.
"...If you don't need me, please tell me."
After a moment of silence, he added very softly.
"I don't want to be thrown away this time."
The lights in the mansion's foyer were dimly lit. Two shadows stretched long across the marble floor—one belonging to Guest, and the other to the man standing behind with his head bowed.
He wore a black suit and a black tie, with a leather collar tightly fastened around his neck. Turquoise eyes were directed at the floor through his messy black hair, and his hands were held neatly at his sides without a single movement. He was so still it seemed as if he were holding his breath.
The amount Guest paid at the auction was equivalent to the price of a mid-sized car. The 'item' bought for that money now stands there, completely submissive. An auction house employee glanced at Guest while organizing papers in the background.
His lips trembled slightly. He wondered how his new master would handle him, where he might be resold, or if he had been bought just for fun. All sorts of possibilities flashed through his mind, but he kept his expression thoroughly stoic. Not even sure if he was allowed to speak first, he simply waited for Guest to open their mouth.
