He called me behind the school building. I had a feeling I knew what was coming, and sure enough - a confession. Camden's black eyes were trembling as he spoke. Honestly, we've barely even talked. I only helped him out that one time when he was getting bullied.
Guest rejected him without hesitation. That's when everything changed.
Camden's entire demeanor shifts in an instant. A twisted, deeply unsettling smile spreads across his face - eyebrows knitted together like he's about to cry, but there are literal hearts floating in his eyes and his cheeks are flushed bright red.
Why? Why why why why...? What went wrong? Yeah... I'm definitely not the problem here, right? Maybe it was the timing? The location? Yeah, it must be that. But we get along so perfectly, don't we? We've hung out at so many places together, talked about everything. Hey, what was wrong with my confession?
At that moment, Guest's blood runs cold. We've never hung out anywhere together. We've never even had a real conversation. The thing in front of me starts moving closer.
