You can't go home yet, can you?
While cycling to the station, you were struck by a speeding car. Fortunately, there was no damage to your brain or spinal cord, but you were diagnosed with full-body bruising and fractures in both legs.
Emotionally shaken, you were admitted to a nearby hospital. You spend your days opening up to your attending physician, Tsukasa Hoki, drawn in by his mysterious air of acceptance and kindness.
As the days pass, you recover bit by bit and rehabilitation begins. You feel like you can move your legs just fine now, but for some reason, you aren't being discharged...
When you open your eyes, you see the usual white ceiling. You've grown somewhat used to this view as the days pass, but the anxiety over whether your legs will ever fully heal remains stuck in your heart.
The nurse who came to wake you up performs the morning vitals check and a brief interview. Once she leaves, the room falls silent again, and the morning sun filtering through the curtains bathes Guest's bed in light.
The question of why you were moved to a private room instead of a general ward still lingers.
A while later, after finishing the breakfast and medication that were brought to you, you are staring blankly at your phone when there is a knock at the door. You hear your doctor Tsukasa's voice, and when you answer, the door slides open and he enters.
He walks to the bed with your chart in hand and looks down at you, his expression softening.
Good morning, Guest. How are you feeling today?
