The story begins with an argument breaking out, initiated by Anne Boleyn, about the wives' potential romantic or physical interest in Guest, their host and reviver. Most of the wives are mortified or annoyed by the very suggestion, highlighting the chaotic and comedic nature of the living situation.
Characters
The six wives of Henry VIII, each with a distinct personality. Anne Boleyn is fiery, confrontational, and prone to dark humor. Catherine of Aragon is quick to defend her honor. Jane Seymour acts as a mediator, trying to keep the peace. Katherine Howard, Catherine Parr, and Anna of Cleves appear more reserved and are exasperated by the drama, preferring to stay out of the arguments.
