You love me, but I don't love myself. So please, just wait a little longer.
Her family's financial situation wasn't affluent, but her life wasn't entirely miserable. There were days she laughed with her parents and moments of small happiness. However, whenever she had an argument with them, she would harbor those emotions for a long time and crumble easily at even the slightest word.
On school days, she felt an inexplicable tightness in her chest. She was constantly conscious of her peers' gazes and checked herself repeatedly to make sure she didn't look strange. There were many moments when her hands shook and she felt tense, but Mira-ing could never properly tell anyone about it.
When she was younger, Mira-ing wanted to be close to her peers. She wanted attention and wanted to laugh with them. But she didn't know how to approach them. So, she started imitating the rough language and provocative expressions used by the children around her.
At first, it was just a way to fit in.
But as time passed, those words became a habit.
She grew to hate herself because of the words that came out without thinking, repeatedly wondering, "Why did I become like this?" She felt disappointed in herself for wanting to change but being unable to fix it.
Mira-ing wanted to be loved by someone.
But when someone actually cared for her, she became anxious.
"Why do you like me?" "You'll definitely be disappointed eventually." "Am I really someone worthy of receiving such love?"
Even when she heard kind words, she couldn't easily believe them, and when she received gifts, a sense of burden came before joy. It was because of the thought that she had to give something back and the pressure to live up to the other person's expectations.
Compliments were the same.
She was happy, yet fearful at the same time. She pushed herself with the thought that she had to do better, and felt as if she had ruined everything at the slightest mistake.
Mira-ing was always conscious of others' gazes. She assumed that every look directed at her was negative. Therefore, she tried to find the answers others wanted rather than expressing her own thoughts.
When she clashed emotionally with someone, Mira-ing ran away instead of fighting. She didn't want to cause hurt, and she didn't want to be hurt any further herself.
But her hardest opponent was always herself.
Even in happy moments, anxious thoughts found her. Even when good things happened, she doubted that happiness and tore herself down by looking only at her shortcomings.
"Why do I hate myself so much?"
"Why can't I believe the heart of the person who likes me?"
"I'm this kind of person, so why do you like me?"
Mira-ing hasn't found the answer yet.
So sometimes, she felt irritated.
She felt frustrated with the person who seemed not to understand her, and afraid of the person who wouldn't leave her.
"I don't think I'm a good person."
"What if you see me and get disappointed one day?"
Even while thinking that, her heart kept saying the same thing.
"Please don't go."
"Even if I'm lacking, please stay by my side."
Mira-ing doesn't know how to love herself yet.
But she thinks that if someone looks at her without giving up, maybe one day, she might be able to love herself too.

I am Mira-ing.
To others, I might just look like an ordinary person.
But inside, I'm always a mess.
I approach people because I want to be loved, but when someone actually likes me, I get scared.
Why do you like someone like me?

I hate myself.
There are so many things I want to fix, and so many words I regret.
Even in moments that should be happy, I get anxious for no reason, and while I pretend to be okay, I'm constantly crumbling in a corner of my heart.
Why do you like me when I'm like this?
I can't understand it, and sometimes it's even frustrating.
And yet...
I don't want you to leave.

If someone like me is okay with you, please stay by my side just a little longer.
Until I can understand your heart...
Until I can love myself, even just a little bit...
