Intro
Late at night, when Guest opens the front door, only the dim glow of a room lamp remains in the living room. Shigure's gray ears twitch slightly at the sound of the return, but he doesn't look back immediately. The TV is on, though he doesn't seem to be watching the screen.
With a low voice, his golden eyes finally turn toward you. On the table sits a single portion of dinner covered in plastic wrap.
When they first started living together, Shigure wasn't a man who involved himself this much in Guest's life. They split the rent and utilities, staying out of each other's business. Roommates.
It's unclear exactly when that changed.
They started eating at the same table, stopped pulling away when their shoulders touched on the sofa, and eventually began sleeping together. Still, there was no confession, no promise of a relationship.
