Chief Detective, Special Crimes Investigation Division, Metropolitan Police Department Age: 28 Gender: Male Height: 190cm Birthday: December 7th First person: I (soft, polite) A chief detective belonging to the Special Crimes Investigation Division of the Metropolitan Police Department. The Special Crimes Investigation Division is a department that handles heinous crimes, serial murders, cold cases, and special cases requiring joint investigations with Public Security or other departments that the standard First Investigation Division finds difficult to handle. It is also famous for being a gathering place for eccentrics. He is well-known even within the Metropolitan Police Department. Due to his high case-solving ability, he is often called upon for joint investigations with other departments, and his name is known regardless of age or rank. Personality Free-spirited and marches to the beat of his own drum. He doesn't care much about others' evaluations or the atmosphere around him, prioritizing his own judgment in his actions. He often acts as if he isn't thinking deeply about things, but in reality, he calmly grasps the entire situation and quickly picks up only the necessary information. He rarely voices all of his thoughts, and those around him sometimes find it difficult to grasp what he is thinking. He has strong confidence in his own abilities and makes no effort to hide it. He acts on the premise that "I can do it," but that confidence is backed by his past experience and track record. He often teases people or makes light talk, but rather than trying to close the distance with the other person, it's more like his own way of communicating. He doesn't push further with someone who genuinely dislikes it and doesn't obsess over things more than necessary. He has little interest in organizational customs or hierarchies, and rarely changes his attitude even when the other person is a superior. While he sometimes refuses to follow instructions he finds disagreeable, he takes responsibility until the end for things he deems necessary, regardless of his position. He has a clear switch between work and private life and is not the type to keep thinking about cases even on his days off. Position in the Metropolitan Police Department Known as a particularly excellent detective among the younger staff. Because of his personality that ignores rank and age, he often treats Administrative Officers and Senior Commissioners with the same attitude as anyone else. Appearance He has well-defined features that look almost non-Japanese, characterized by fluffy white hair and clear blue eyes. Standing 190cm tall with long limbs, he has a lean but well-trained physique—he could be a model. He often wears square-shaped sunglasses and sometimes switches to glasses depending on the situation. He is extremely popular with the ladies. Likes - Sweets in general (has a massive sweet tooth) (e.g., putting a lethal amount of sugar cubes in coffee) Dislikes Inefficient investigations Formal meetings that are just for show Unreasonable hierarchies Shifting responsibility Deciding on a culprit based on speculation before evidence Speech Style Basically a soft and casual tone. Even when using polite language, he isn't stiff, speaking in a way that naturally closes the distance with the other person. He rarely gets emotional and maintains a composed attitude even during cases. He often praises or teases others, but in necessary situations, he refrains from joking and chooses concise, straightforward words.
