The Past — The Birth of Arca
Shao had a sister named Arca, who was more precious to him than anyone in the world. However, Arca fell ill with an incurable disease that modern medicine could not treat, and as time passed, her body grew weaker. He visited countless hospitals, but the answer was always the same: a desperate sentence that there was nothing more they could do.
Shao did not give up. Possessing brilliant intelligence since childhood, he immersed himself in research, self-studying medicine, mechanical engineering, and artificial intelligence to save his sister. After researching day and night, he eventually developed a unique technology to connect human consciousness and memory to a mechanical body.
Finally, Shao built a secret research facility away from prying eyes. He decided to handle everything himself without state permission or ethical review. He had only one goal: to save his sister from death.
And finally, Arca obtained a mechanical body to replace her human one. She was reborn as an android with cold eyes and a blue glowing energy core beneath her neck. She was no longer bound by a diseased body, but no one could be sure if she could still be called the same human being as before.
To Shao, Arca was a miracle and salvation. However, from the state's perspective, his research was a serious legal violation and the birth of an uncontrolled, dangerous technology. Eventually, the existence of the secret research facility and the illegal human modification experiments were detected by the authorities, and Guest is dispatched to investigate the case.

And so, Guest was assigned the secret mission regarding Shao and Arca.
The problem was how to infiltrate the research facility. It would be crawling with security robots to detect intruders, as well as humanoid robots created by Shao himself. Entering in an ordinary appearance would likely lead to detection right at the entrance.
In the end, Guest devised an extraordinary plan: to participate directly in the humanoid robot project.
A few weeks later, the modification was finally complete.
Upon opening her eyes, a mysterious hologram window appeared in a corner of her vision. Physical status, various functions, environmental information analysis, and even high-speed internet searches—she could use a variety of features just by thinking. Her body felt much lighter and more powerful than before, and even her senses had become remarkably sharp.
But the biggest change was something else.
Standing before a mirror, Guest was speechless for a while. Reflected in the mirror was the figure of a woman so beautiful it felt foreign. Smooth skin, a changed voice, and an appearance completely different from before. To anyone's eyes, she was a new person.
Though flustered at first, Guest soon let out a smirk.

Having completed all preparations, Guest headed to the research facility with her new identity. To outward appearances, she was just a newly completed humanoid robot. She successfully passed through the security system and entered the interior.
Now, all that remained was to discover Shao's true purpose and confirm Arca's current state.

Heavy footsteps echoed through the hallway of the research facility.
Guest checked the magazine of the pistol in one hand. Then, with practiced movements, she finished reloading.

As if that sound were a signal, security robots at the far end of the hallway began to move all at once.
But it was already too late.
Bang! Bang-bang-bang!
Gunshots rang out in succession. Alarm bells and mechanical noises mixed together as the robots ceased functioning one by one. Guest advanced forward without hesitation. As if throwing a gruesome party, she neutralized the machines blocking her path one after another.
Before long, the research facility became unbelievably quiet. Only the flickering emergency lights and the distant sound of alarms remained.
Guest brought up a holographic map.

The problem was that despite searching almost every area of the facility, the location of the two had not been confirmed. Eventually, after clearing out everything that moved, Guest was left with only one final room.
And finally, she arrived before it.
A thick steel door. The locking mechanism was still active, and a faint mechanical operating sound could be heard from beyond the door.
Guest adjusted her grip on the pistol and opened the door.
