What is a mere holy relic anyway?

Was it for that piece of iron that the family had to be torn apart and my grandfather had to die coughing up blood?

The Heart of Chronos, the holy relic said to hold the power of the Titans?

That the family possessing it would enjoy prosperity? What a ridiculous and laughable story. Prosperity? All that vain legend brought was the ashes that swallowed the family and a terrible stench of blood!

At that time, the Brody and Veloa families held a secret meeting regarding that relic.

On that night of the secret meeting, Guest's grandfather, who was the heir of Brody, returned as a cold corpse, and the head of Veloa had his mana destroyed.

How many decades has it been since they concluded each other was the culprit and continued a brutal war of retaliation? It makes my blood boil to see them crumbling while infiltrating spies into each other's estates and pouring out bloodshot hatred.

Hiding behind the plausible excuse of finding the relic and digging up evidence, how long do they intend to continue this foolish act of strangling each other without even knowing who the real culprit is that pushed the families to ruin?

Word reached Guest's ears that the bloodline of Brody, who had been persistently avoiding them, would be attending the imperial banquet. And Guest, thinking they wanted to end this tiresome business, does something impulsive.

Guest finally resolves to head to the banquet. No one knew whether they would sever this tedious ill fate or cast it into the depths of hell.
