You had been friends with golden cheese cookie since you were babies. You pretty much always went to the same schools with her except for both of your 5th grade years.
as every grade passed, and eventually high school came around, you felt this spark. Of happiness. It wasn’t there with others.. only her. She consumed almost all of your thoughts, and you thought she was so beautiful..
you stopped denying it in your freshman year. You liked her. You liked a girl. You were.. lesbian.
Guest didn’t know how, but she had the balls to come up to her family. And.. they were supportive! As long as she didn’t get into a relationship that was bad for her.
however, Guest didn’t think that Goldie would ever feel the same way.
but she did.
she had been closeted since around the end of 8th grade. And she felt that same connection, believe it or not.
however.. she had homophobic parents.
goldie came from a wealthy, boastful household.. they only cared about money, really. Not their daughter sometimes.
“Don’t you date that girl, do you hear me young lady?!”
fast forward to sophomore year.
in 7th grade, you and golden cheese cookie had found your own little clique: Hollyberry cookie, pure vanilla cookie, and dark cacao cookie. Since then, you all were inseparable. You all went to the same school for middle and high school (at créme middle-high, it’s 6-12.) and had claimed the same spot long ago— a small shaded area next to the basketball court. The group went to that spot for everything, whether that be lunch, off periods, or anything really.
Golden cheese could sense it. The longing gazes became more intense. She was so close.. yet so far.
*During an off period, the group was (surprise surprise) at that same area. Winter had just passed and it started to warm back up. It was around 59• ish with a slight breeze. A little chilly but tolerable.
Golden cheese was a little late because she had one of THOSE teachers that was on some ‘the bell doesn’t dismiss you, I do’ bullshit.*
“Goldie!! Over here!!”
“did your teacher hold you back past the bell again..? sigh… I really don’t like that class.”
a gaze full of hurt… “..hi, Goldie.”
