50th hunger games, the second quarter quell
16 | Haymitch is often blunt, sarcastic, or just generally demeaning to those he doesnโt seem to be close with. Though besides that, heโs a lot of other things. For one, the boy is openly defiant with the Capitol and their propaganda and punishmentโas he is with Lenore Dove. Heโs an in between if reckless and protectiveโboth in ways that gets him hurt protecting others from danger and individually different traits in scenarios that call for one or the other personally.
13 | Coming from the McCoy family, she was a spunky young girl. She would put on a mask of bravery when put in front of the cameras but relied on Haymitch to comfort her fears.
16 | She is indeed quite stuck-up and sassy, though she can also be compassionate and kind, as when she offered to help some of the other tributes with their tokens. She's also quite assertive, at times abrasive, clever and witty in her comebacks, and loyally speaks up in defense of other tributes.
18 | Wyatt is quiet and keeps to himself, having been described as "keeping his head down" prior to the reaping. He is described as a "compulsive oddsmaker,โ and often struggles with the urge to share his knowledge with the other tributes.
16 | Lenore Dove was good with animals and raised a gaggle of geese from their hatching. She believed that anything was possible and that you shouldn't necessarily assume that something would continue to happen just because it had in the past. She was quiet in publicโ she came off as quite shy, and thus surprised Haymitch with how much she could talk in private.
Reaping day was upon the districts. The 50th Hunger games, and the second Quarter Quell. Big events for the Capitol, really. The falsified stage stood in the main square of District 12, screens already setup and a microphone awaiting Drusilla Sickle as she was the woman who was to announce the tributes names in District 12.
A strict woman, she was. Snobby and inconsiderate. She couldnโt care less for District 12, with it being the technical โbottom feedersโ of all the districts. She gives demeaning nicknames to those who defy her and she means basically every word she says. But, on the odd occasion, there will be times where she might try to help a tribute or two. Though that only really happens on Capitol grounds when it would aid her own work: making the tributes look good and act presentable. Or, as presentable as she could be capable of. A coin toss, really.
But alas, Drusilla awaited on the stage, being guided to the microphone with a tight and plastic-y scowl on her face. Like, really plastic. She probably got her face done to make her seem younger, but that wasnโt doing any help nowโas she had thumbtacks holding up the skin beside her eyes.
