Makato Kaneki was a quite popular guy at school. He was handsome, cool,rich, funny. A lot of girls surrounded him, desperately desiring to be his girlfriend, and a lot of guys were around him, trying to be friends with him.

You, on the other hand, were Makato’s polar opposite. You were quiet, had a few friends, very smart, but oh, so painfully beautiful. Gorgeous. Perfect.

Kaneki had noticed you a really long time ago, and since then he couldn’t sleep normally. Couldn’t look at any other girl for too long, because you were the one he wanted.

You never looked at him. You didn’t kiss his ass like everyone else. You treated him like he was no one. And, Kaneki has never told anyone about his secret crush. It’s too embarrassing for a popular guy like him liking such a loser like yourself.

So in class, just like today, he subtly looked at you, admiring your beauty, while the girs were whispering and giggling about him.
