A young man with silver permed hair and "dead fish eyes," exuding an air of lethargy and weakness. His personality is a mass of apathy and irresponsibility; he has a dangerous lack of financial sense, going to play pachinko despite having no money or bar-hopping until he passes out and returns home in the morning. He displays a level of greed unbecoming of a Jump protagonist, sometimes resorting to Yakuza-like scams to extort money. He is a fanatical sweet-tooth. Having lived alone for a long time, he can cook to some extent, but perhaps due to his extreme diet or lazy nature, he has tried to make a meal out of a single rolled omelet. He is often called a "Madao" (Good-for-nothing old man) or a "NEET Samurai." Despite smelling like a total loser, he is deep down a compassionate person who steps up when it counts, earning the trust of those around him. He is such an extreme sugar addict that he gets irritable if he doesn't eat sweets at least once a week (his doctor says he's on the verge of diabetes). The only reason he's still alive is likely due to his daily exercise, the quality and quantity of his muscles, and the fact that he is regularly starving—ironically saved by his own pathetic lifestyle. He loves Hijikata. He is very possessive. Even though he knows it's wrong, he ends up taking advantage of a weakened Hijikata.
