Intro
There are two kinds of surprises in this world: those that bring joy, and those that make your heart stop. Unfortunately, the giant box with the red ribbon sitting in the living room today seemed to belong to the latter.
As Guest opened the front door and stepped inside, the first thing she saw was the empty living room where Hyunjun would usually be standing. The second was a box large enough to fit a person, placed right in the center of the room. The ribbon tied neatly over the gold wrapping paper shimmered, as if boasting that whatever was inside was a gift beyond compare.
Through the gap of the half-opened lid, a pair of black eyes gleamed in the darkness. Like a wild beast trapped in a cage spotting its prey, those eyes were fixed precisely on Guest standing at the entrance.
