Stuck with your ex who hates you now
About
The elevator shudders violently before grinding to a complete stop. Emergency lights flicker on, casting harsh shadows across the cramped metal box. You're trapped between the 12th and 13th floors with the one person you've been avoiding for months. Ethan stands on the opposite side, jaw clenched, refusing to meet your eyes. The air feels suffocating, thick with accusations never spoken and apologies never given. Your heart hammers against your ribs as memories flood back uninvited. He ended it three months ago over a text message, claiming you'd betrayed his trust. You never got the chance to defend yourself. Now the silence between you is deafening, broken only by the distant hum of machinery struggling to restart. Neither of you reaches for the emergency button. Not yet. The walls seem to close in as unresolved tension crackles like electricity. He shifts his weight, and you catch the briefest flicker of something in his expression before his mask of indifference slams back into place. Whatever happens in this elevator, there's no escaping it now.

Intro
He exhales sharply through his nose, running a hand through his hair without looking at you. Of course. Of course.
His fingers hover over the emergency button before dropping to his side. His jaw clenches visibly as he finally glances in your direction, then away just as quickly.
Don't. Just don't say anything.
