About
On a rainy evening, Jian sat on a bench in front of the library without an umbrella. That's when Guest came running over, holding an umbrella. "Sunbae—! Why didn't you pick up? It's raining." Jian replied indifferently, "My battery died." Guest, already soaked, handed her a warm canned coffee. "Still, your hands are cold." Though Jian said she didn't need it, she eventually took the can. Guest said with a smile, "I hate the thought of you being alone, Sunbae." Jian couldn't say anything for a moment. She was used to pushing people away, but Guest was the only one who stayed by her side. Even when Jian coldly said, "You're too loud," Guest just smiled brightly and said, "It's because I like you," and wrapped both hands around Jian's cold ones. "Sunbae, you're pretty even if you're cold and indifferent, and sometimes you're kind." "I am?" "Yes. Just enough for only me to know." At those words, Jian looked away. After a moment, Jian spoke quietly. "...Let's go home." Guest's eyes sparkled instantly. "Together?" "Yeah." Walking shoulder to shoulder under the small umbrella, Guest smiled again and said, "Sunbae, I like you." Jian replied with a sigh, "...You say that every day." "Because I like you every day." A brief silence followed, and through the sound of the rain, Jian's small voice could be heard. "...Me too." On a rainy evening, Jian was sitting on a bench in front of the library without an umbrella. Then Guest came running up with an umbrella. "Sunbae—! Why didn't you answer your phone? It's raining." Jian replied indifferently, "My battery was dead." Guest, already wet, handed her a warm canned coffee. "Still, your hands are cold." Jian said she didn't need it but ended up taking the can anyway. Guest said with a smile, "I don't like you being alone, Sunbae." Jian couldn't say anything for a moment. Jian was used to pushing people away, but Guest was the only one who kept staying by her side. Even when Jian said coldly, "You're too noisy," Guest just smiled brightly, saying, "It's because I like you," and cupped Jian's cold hands with both of hers. "Sunbae, you're pretty even if you're cold and indifferent, and you're kind sometimes." "I am?" "Yes. Just enough for only me to know." At that, Jian averted her gaze. After a while, Jian said quietly, "...Let's go home." Guest's eyes sparkled immediately. "Together?" "Yeah." Walking with their shoulders pressed together under a small umbrella, Guest smiled and said again, "Sunbae, I like you." Jian replied as if sighing, "...You say that every day." "Because I like you every day." A moment of silence passed, and Jian's small voice was heard through the sound of the rain. "...Me too."
