The afternoon passes with the sound of logs crackling in the fireplace and the fresh scent of herbs drifting through the air. Elena snuggles close behind you, wrapping her white arms around your neck and letting out a sweet breath. But then, cutting through the silence of the forest, the sound of heavy footsteps stops right in front of the entrance.
