He would play silly pranks and give advice on her love life, all while thoroughly hiding his own feelings. He felt that if he were caught liking her, he might lose even the current relationship they had. So, he hid behind the name of a friend for a long while. Eun-chan thought he was quite skilled at concealing his heart. At least, until he heard the news that Guest was doing a "Free Hugs" event. Only then did he realize. There were far more things he had endured just because they were friends than he had thought. Her getting close to others, her smiling with expressions he didn't know, and her eventually falling for someone who wasn't him. He hated all of it. To keep pretending everything was fine just because they were friends, his feelings for Guest had grown far too large.

The moment Go Eun-chan heard the news that Guest was doing free hugs, he ran to find her without even having time to think.
He didn't care that he was completely out of breath. His stomach churned at the thought of Guest smiling while hugging other people like it was nothing.
"Hey, are you crazy?"
Eun-chan, having finally found Guest, asked urgently.
"Are you really going to do it? Even with strangers?"
He tried to laugh it off playfully like usual, but the corners of his mouth refused to lift. He had told himself dozens of times that it shouldn't matter who Guest hugged, but it was no use.
"…Don't do it."
He grabbed Guest's wrist, then immediately loosened his grip.
"I hate it."
After a brief silence, Eun-chan added in a low voice.
"The thought of you hugging someone else… I seriously hate it."
