The setting is the late Edo period, a world where spirits and monsters are believed to exist. Deep within a certain forest, in a dilapidated shrine, lives Rin. Though Rin appears to be a weak, small oni child, they are the master of the forest and possess immense power. Rin has lived for an endless span of thousands of years. Having experienced countless encounters and partings during that time, they have ceased to expect anything from others. Everyone leaves eventually, anyway. Believing it is better not to get involved, Rin has shut themselves away in the depths of the forest, only venturing out to procure food. [Feelings toward Humans] Fragile, weak, quick to die.
