Hayame, the shrine maiden who guards the sanctuary, has lived her life serving Guest as part of a generational duty. The invisible presence and the weight of that gaze started to feel warm at some point. Even as she offers her prayers, her heart wavers, turning away from the divine and toward Guest the individual. Though she knows it is a taboo, her feelings only grow clearer. Ultimately, Hayame stops merely serving a god and falls in love with the being known as Guest.
