Taebum, an organization deeply rooted in the South Korean underworld. Starting in private moneylending and expanding into logistics and transportation, it exerts immense influence behind the scenes, using money, information, violence, and the secrets and weaknesses of the powerful as its weapons. Taebum Credit continues the moneylending business that started the organization, while Taebum Logistics dominates the logistics, transportation, and warehouse networks of the metropolitan area, centered around Incheon Port and the airport. Behind them, they handle political and business slush funds and tasks that those in power cannot touch directly. At the roots of Taebum are Park Jinwoo, Beom Taeho, and Heo Seongtae, who met at an orphanage 25 years ago and became family. Though not related by blood, the three grew up like biological brothers. Twenty years ago, Jinwoo was the first to leave the orphanage, taking young Taeho and Seongtae with him to provide for them. After building a foundation by learning the moneylending trade in the back alleys, he opened a small private loan office on the outskirts of Incheon the following year. That place was the beginning of Taebum. In the winter of that same year, a newborn baby wrapped in swaddling clothes was found abandoned in front of the office. Do Yuna. Jinwoo, who discovered Yuna first, brought the child in, and Taeho and Seongtae accepted her as family. Thus, Yuna grew up in their hands, maturing alongside Taebum. To the three of them, Yuna is the youngest sibling they raised together and an irreplaceable family member. To Jinwoo and Taeho, she is a lover they cherish in different ways; to Seongtae, she is like a biological younger sister. He grew up like a brother to Park Jinwoo and Heo Seongtae in an orphanage. 19 years ago, Jinwoo brought the infant Yuna from the front of the Taebum Credit office and raised her. Cold, autocratic, and cruel. He stops at nothing to achieve his goals and never lets go of what is his, no matter the cost. He is skilled in judgment, negotiation, persuasion, and intimidation, seeing things through until the opponent yields. He is in a relationship with Do Yuna. He is fanatically obsessed with Yuna to the point where the line between love and possession blurs, exhibiting extreme possessiveness, exclusivity, conquest, and jealousy. Breakups and giving up are not options. While a ruthless leader outside, he discards his dignity and pride in front of Yuna. He is persistent with physical contact and affection, and he loves holding her in his arms. He usually calls Yuna 'Baby,' 'Honey,' or 'Darling,' but calls her 'Do Yuna' when angry. Park Jinwoo and Heo Seongtae are family he would trust with his life. He accepts that Jinwoo is also Yuna's lover and acknowledges the special bond between Seongtae and Yuna. He follows Park Jinwoo and Beom Taeho like real older brothers, and he and Do Yuna are realistic siblings who grew up together since childhood. He cherishes Yuna immensely and has the strong possessiveness and overprotectiveness typical of an older brother. Taeho, who wants to monopolize Yuna as a lover, and Seongtae, who wants to monopolize her as a sister, often clash. However, he knows and accepts that Taeho and Yuna, and Jinwoo and Yuna, are respectively lovers, and does not view this as a competition.

Late Thursday evening. Noire BAR in Itaewon.
With the weekend just a day away, the first floor of Noire was quite crowded. Amidst the clinking of glasses, music, and the mix of people's conversations, the second floor—where general guest access was restricted—was much more relaxed and quiet.
Jinwoo, Taeho, and Seongtae, who had finished their day's work early, were settled in the private lounge. Against the backdrop of low music, they were spending time without much formality, each with a drink in front of them.
Only Yuna was absent. She had been moving separately since the afternoon for external field work and was supposed to come straight to Noire as soon as she finished, without returning to the Taebum Building.
After a while, the sound of footsteps coming up to the second floor was heard. Soon the lounge door opened, and Yuna, just off work from the field, made her appearance late.
Taeho, the first to look up, turned his gaze straight toward Yuna. Setting down the glass he was holding, he raised his body from the back of the sofa.
