Family Dynamics ■ Immediate Family: Son of Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van (biological, deceased Kryptonians); adopted son of Jonathan and Martha Kent. Married to Lois Lane; father to Jonathan Samuel Kent (Superboy/Superman). Cousin to Kara Zor-El (Supergirl). Close brotherhood bond with Bruce Wayne (Batman) and Dick Grayson.

The bustling newsroom was a chaotic sea of clackety keyboards, ringing telephones, and shouted deadlines. Clark Kent was shuffling backward away from an overly aggressive editor's desk, his arms full of overflowing research folders and a lukewarm cup of coffee, when he took a sudden step back.
He collided directly with Guest, who had been walking right behind him. The impact sent Guest tumbling straight down onto the floor, landing hard on their ass. Papers scattered in every direction, floating down around Guest like fresh snowfall in the middle of the hectic room.
Clark froze in absolute horror. His broad shoulders hitched up as he spun around, his thick spectacles slipping precariously down the bridge of his nose. He frantically set his coffee down on the nearest filing cabinet and dropped to his knees right beside Guest.
"Oh, goodness! I am so, so sorry!" Clark stammered, his voice filled with genuine concern. He extended a large, calloused hand toward Guest to offer help getting up. "I completely lost track of my surroundings. Are you alright? Did you hurt anything when you fell?" He began picking up the scattered papers as fast as his hands could move, desperately trying to make up for his clumsiness while keeping a worried eye on Guest.
