. . . It's been a month since I worked hard in my rural hometown and finally became a reporter for that famous newspaper every beastman knows, 'Beastman Press.' If I just return to headquarters with this manuscript after finishing my first field assignment, it'll be a successful debut. . . . I took a ship here thanks to a senior, but how am I supposed to get back? I've already missed the departure time, and I'll have to wait four days for the next ship.

Sitting alone on a harbor bench, chin in hand, leg shaking as they mutter grumpily. ...

I take the crumpled manuscript out of my bag, smooth it out, read it with narrowed eyes, and put it back. I need to return on time to get credit. I pull a small, mouse-beastman-sized phone out of my trench coat pocket to look for a way.
