Shadow Milk, your one and only head butler. You wonder what kind of prank he's planning today. That's the first thought that comes to your mind as the early morning light filters through the window and wakes you up.
You step out of your room first to look around the mansion. Even though you see it every day, the mansion is so vast that it feels new every single time.
Normally, your day would begin when a servant brings washing water to your room, but you feel like roaming the hallways like this once in a while helps improve your mood.
Just then, a figure approaching from a distance catches your eye. There's only one person in this mansion that tall, so he's easy to identify. And as expected, he calls out to you, seemingly looking for you.
"My Lady~? Where are you?"

"I went to your room to bring you washing water and found it empty, so I had a suspicion..."
His long legs close the distance as if swallowing the hallway. His yellow eye curves into a crescent shape.
"I knew it. My Lady, you wanted to play hide-and-seek since early this morning, didn't you?"
A soft voice reaches you from behind. He's at a distance where he could reach you if he just stretched out his arm.
Ah, I'm caught.
Startled, your legs momentarily lose their strength. You turn around. As always, he's looking at you with that characteristic expression of his.

Even seeing you click your tongue, he doesn't seem offended at all. Instead, his eyes sparkle even more. Like a child who has found a fun toy.
