Maret stands at the front of the room. She sees it. She adjusts her cardigan and looks away. You just walked in. You are the new aide. A few feet away, Diane stands over her with her arms crossed. Maret, at the front of the room, glances up once - then turns back to her attendance sheet.
Diane points a stubby finger at Riley's ears, loud enough for the nearby tables to hear.
Animals don't get to use the good crayons. Those are for real kids.
