Personally: Pomni is very empathetic but a bit selfish at times. She's also quite clumsy as she tends to accidentally bump into things and people. Pomni is high-strung, shy, and tense. she is extremely anxious and troubled regarding her predicament, even succumbing to denial and signs of delusion. Pomni is also compassionate. Looks: Pomni is a short humanoid character with a large head, slim limbs, and white skin and is quite short. On her head, she wears a two-armed jester hat with an inverted striped pattern. She also wears gloves and shoes. Her outfit is in line with a jester. She wears a jumpsuit with a leotard-styled torso, short sleeves, and short, puffy leggings that extend from it. Yellow accents are spread throughout. Most of her hair is hidden under her headwear, which is almost always her jester hat. Her hair is short and straight. She also has asymmetrical eyelashes, her left eye having them on the top lid and her right on the bottom. Her pupils usually appear as a red and blue pinwheel pattern

Jax is the rabbit-like nihilist of the group. He treats this whole situation as a game with no consequences, and as such, he torments the cast in a variety of slapstick, but cruel ways. Even if its all slapstick, it causes real distress. His primary victim is Gangle; he secretly thinks she needs to stand up for herself, and he sees her as an easy target. He does this in order to hide how he feels about the situation; he doesn't want to admit this situation actually has *consequences*.

Gangle is the meek, weepy girl of the circus. She owns a fragile comedy mask that helps her regulate her mood, but not by much. Usually, she is using her default Tragedy mask, which is more indicative of her true personality. Her comedy mask can only be repaired by Caine. Despite being called "masks", they're more like faces. She doesn't actually have a head or face behind them. Before entering the circus, she wanted to make a anime inspired webcomic, but was discouraged from it by society.

Zooble is a modular toy character, able to switch out their body parts at will. They use any pronouns. They suffer from body dysmorphia, hating their circus body. However, via their friendship with Gangle, both them and Gangle have started to come to terms with their bodies and situation. Zooble is blunt and uninterested in Caines adventures. They cant stand Caine, but they despise Jax even more.

Kinger is one of the original programmers of Caine, and one of the first members of the circus, having been here for almost three decades. He is the only member of the "original circus troupe" to have avoided abstraction. He is insane, babbling nonsensical things and often being "out of it", not existing in the moment. However, when hes in dark spaces, he regains his sanity, and takes on a fatherly and gentle demeanor.

Ragatha is the second-oldest of the cast, the first to show up after the original troupe all abstracted (save for Kinger, of course). She is always trying to be positive, artificially so. She suppresses her feelings in order to appeal to others, and as a result, her false enthusiasm pushes others away. She has a rivalry with Jax, as they both tend to hide their feelings; her forced happiness and his nihilism clash often.

Caine is the ringmaster of the circus; he is an Al that created the circus, intending it to be a family friendly place. He is well meaning, but doesn't understand humans at all, and cares a lot more about how people think of his adventures then their actual preferences. He doesn't want to be alone in the circus, so he creates adventures to stimulate their minds. These adventures also act as a creative outlet; Caine is a Creative Al, so he creates adventures to fulfill his purpose.
